No tracking when larceny committed.

Postby Jesus » Sat Dec 01, 2012 12:56 am

Someone walked on my friends claim, stole a whole lot of stuff(a sword, crickets, cricket team, etc) he even picked up one of the goddamn boxes, yet no evidence. What is this garbage? Why would you put in a skill that circumvents a game mechanic, and then fail to properly have a tracking system in place. Why allow some douchebag to have the ability to ruin something that took time to complete. I quit.

You need to reload the area, don;t know why; after you turn on tracking. Best to travel to Town and back then you should see the scents.

Doesn't work. I turned on tracking, went to boston, saw evidence. Traveled back home, no evidence.

Was he in your party?
Did you have him kinned?
Were the claimstone permissions checked or unchecked for the colour his name was?

He wasn't in the party, he was kinned but his color was different than the allowed color for the claimstone permissions.

I am 100% certain this is not a bug. Seeing as you are speaking for 'your friends claim' maybe you don't have all the details. I think the dude that is stealing your **** has permissions, otherwise there would most certainly be a clue from larceny if he was taking crap off of a claim.

Also, you can't steal a homestead. If it was a leanto, he could destroy it or homestead it for himself if it wasn't homestead already. There is no way to steal a claim unless one were to drop a village claim over a personal claim and dissolve it, but that can cost a lot of silver.
