This thread hurts my brain, and I have the strongest feeling that this is some kind of troll post.

On the other hand, I also know that people this naive DO exist, So...
You didn't lay claim to any of "your" property, (technically making it not your property) and then you posted about someone taking what you didn't claim? You built the box, but you didn't claim it so it doesn't belong to you. Since the box isn't claimed, that means everything in it doesn't belong to you either. If you want to own something, you keep it in your inventory or you keep it in a claimed container, otherwise it's not yours. Salem does not follow the conventional rules of real life ownership. Then again, maybe it does. If you built a box on your front lawn and filled it with bags of sugar, I would probably think twice about taking that sugar because it's on your property, and thus is your sugar. If you built that box in an open field on public land though, I would take that sugar in an instant because whoever built the box clearly doesn't want the sugar and it would be a shame to let it go to waste sitting out in that field where the ants and elements can get at it.

if someone does put claim in the area i live, i would be upset but as long as I dont get perma death i would be able to rebuild. call me naive but i still think that its "your" choice if you are going to take something from a claimed or unclaimed area. specially when its so obvious that someone lives in the place.

ive played like this ever since and i continue to play like this. for me its the people i would meet and play with which are more important that boxes full of "refillable" goodies
