Craislist cars are crap. I used to sell cars, and i can tell you that 90% of the time a car is on CL, its boarder line worthless and the customer is hoping you dont catch the issues the dealer did. The exception to this is if you are looking for old classic cars or collectibles.

I dont know your financial situation, but have you thought about financing a inexpensive car? Its builds credit fast, also helps you purchase a home in the future. If you like, PM what you are looking for and budget and i can help you find something.

@Lazun

I would, I am making decent money right now, but I can't work during the semester, especially not for enough to afford financing a car. Until I finish college, it's budget used cars that aren't complete garbage. Mostly looking for reliable, older models with a relatively high mileage (125k+)

You should look at places that rent cars. Buying from one of those is usually a really great deal.

Enterprise, Hertz, etc. They will have high mileage but they will be in like perfect condition. My sister just bought one recently.

Yup he is right, you can go to most dealers and find them, dealerships often buy them cuz they are cheap and really good quality. I also believe car rentals hold auctions for them.

You can get a Hyundai elantra (hyundai is number one in reliability currently) 2012-2013 with about 60k+ for under or around 10. If you finace that with decent credit you are looking at 161 a month, of course it depends on what state you live in. They also have 100k 10year warranty.

Yeah I don't like multisided platforms at all, they let you come anyway. I have seen very ****** boats, we had to drive for 2 hours sometimes to only later discover a very ****** boat. The 2nd time we were on our way to a boat and the guy called that he had already sold it, first comes first serves. The last boat, the one which I finally bought was close to home, quite expensive, we did a test run and it seemed fine with a lack of information about the motors on our side. Turned out the crankshaft was broken, so RIP money.

When I needed my first car some three years ago we encountered simular issues and therefore after several rides we went straight to a dealer and managed to get a decent deal for my black golf 3 from 1999.
