Dead Turkeys

Today I found a few dead turkeys inside my town, but I did not kill them. What does it mean? Witchcraft?

Well, I already have a church, but it did not help.

My guess would be a bear on the other side of the wall, whose stun cone attack has a pretty large radius (although the furthest turkey from the wall does seem to be outside of the range).

This is Help!, and should not be trolled nor filled with information on witchcraft mechanics.
I have neither the crayons nor the time to explain it to you.

A bear roar would eventually K.O. the turkey. Like a snakes poison to a bunny.

ah, I guess it would. I´ve never encountered this particular scenario (as the insides of my walls are all pclaimed so no animal spawns) myself.

You have placed alt to farm fruit trees and tiles around were loaded. Turkeys die after some time if they aren't fed and assuming that they didn't despawned and stood there for several hours or even days they just died of hunger.

Stuff still spawns on town claims, and bears sometimes despawn on their own. bear didn't even need to be on the other side of the wall. And even if it was its AoE stomp thing would reach through the wall and much farther.
Exactly 6.022 x 10^23 worth of Lach molecules.

I think Darklore is correct. They seem to just starve eventually if the tile remains loaded.

Thank you all. Excuse me if I asking some trivia, but I think it is better to be a paranoid than dead.
