Sorry if the complaining about other companies update shenanigans derails things. The TL:DR is, are drugs the only thing the next rimworld update will bring? If so, meh.

The updates have been this bad since release of early access, and the game has barely made any real progress since then honestly.

That seems to be the way of a lot of games these days. A sad time for us all.

We (the consumers) are the ones to blame for this because we keep paying for unfinished games.
It's very sad indeed.

There is more than just drugs, but that is the biggest new system, other than a tutorial for all the retards on steam that can't figure **** out on their own.

It entered early access on July 15, not every game should have weekly updates.

What July 15 are you talking about?

I remember playing this game last year, in early access.

What early access are you talking about, the only way to get it before last month was directly from the dev.

Rimworld has been in early access, i.e Alpha/Beta/Whatever for a while now. I played it last year.
Maybe not on Steam if that is what you are thinking of.

That is not true, it's been available for purchase on its page for more than 2 years now.

It still has a very long way ahead, and the progress speed is slowish, but it is steady and almost every update brings forth a new mechanic. The game changed a lot in the past year. This time the main focus of the upcoming patch is the tutorial / help system, so indeed it is kinda meh. Yet I still think Rimworld gonna be decent in a few years.
Would probably be on sale too

Very true. Early access has been a bit of a blight on games. People buy up these unfinished games thinking they are getting both a finished product AND a seat at the developers table when they are actually getting neither of those things.

At least development is steady. Slow is one thing, but both slow and unsteady development isn't really development at all. At the rate it's going, you at least know it's being worked on. There will always be that large number of ***** out there telling everyone the game is abandoned because updates aren't being shoveled out on a weekly basis.
