You can't grasp that games don't need graphics and you can use your imagination. You don't have a clue what walking actually is.

Why you have to take it to extremes?
The point people are trying to make is simply that good graphics is not necessary for a game to be good. Neither it's sufficient.
It's always a plus to have nice graphics but ultimately it's up to the gameplay.

You still haven't proven that games don't need graphics, don't make unsupported claims.
And idk why there is pictures of board games and card games. I'm clearly talking about video games. If you don't care about graphics you might as well just not play video games at all.

If all you care about is graphics, there's this thing called real life with ultra-high-definition video and near-zero input lag. however, it's kind of grindy and it gets nerfed/retconned ALL the time.

Per your earlier agreement, you play video games because you want to escape into the game. Hence, perfect graphics is just no good without good gameplay, per your own logic.
I have neither the crayons nor the time to explain it to you.

Because having different games for different audiences is an impossible concept to comprehend, right?
Is the idea that some people might actually not care much about visuals really so hard to grasp?

That's just stupid. Games are there for gameplay, not eye-candy.

There are games that use graphics and sound well to create a high level of immersion, which can be a selling factor for a game.
Ofc all this is useless if the game fails everywhere else, but it does help, sometimes a lot.

And yes there are good games that don't rely on that at all, yet I bet most of them would be more enjoyable with it, not saying that everybody wants that.

Should I make it clear again that you should read through the thread again and realise that i am not saying games can not be good without good graphics, but that I'm saying dwarf fortress has pretty much no graphics, which makes Rimworld better for non nerds.

That's exactly what you've been saying though, by making sarcastic remarks like "games should have no graphics at all" and statements like "people who dont care about visuals shouldn't play video games"

If you insist on calling people who care less about visuals nerds - that's fine.
But may be you should read the thread yourself and find out that there actually lots of graphic mods for DF as Dallane pointed out multiple times?
