the northeastern portion of this country along with the southern half of california are so out of touch with the rest of it that we are literally different countries. in europe you have massive shifts in viewpoints, values and culture within a few hundred miles and this is resognized by entering into entirely different countries. in the states it is the exact same way it is just blurred because we are all in the same country. a new york liberal is about as far from a southerner as you can get, that is why barely 100 years ago our great grandfathers were shooting each other.

this is not about religious freedom among americans that are american first and subscribe to american laws, it is about importing hundreds of thousands of foreigners that subscribe to a radical ideology. your local cab driver is not the same thing as a syrian from a war torn district that has grown up hating the west.
