There is no such thing as woodcutting anymore. You are capped at 6% per tick with steel axe.

Yes- I get the effect mortars have; but they have to be built; they aren't mobile and attackers have to give up significant resources that takes weeks to create just to build one...and for an overlarge town you will need several to make so many breaches it's impractical to defend against.

That's a significant investment of silver, time and resource for what is likely almost nothing- no treasure at all whose barely getting by on cotton fields! (for me at least- I've drained bank to almost nothing last 6 months). Still it would apply to all.

I still think it's worth the bother. Forcing raiders to expend wealth/resource just to get a peak only to find little or nothing of value would be a great salve to the one getting wiped out!

ROFL.

As of July 24, 2016... the least of the top 10 towns is >9000 authority points... that is a very, very large town. Takes 6 LRM for defense for 5K town (Junction City) just imagine how many they'd have to build for bigger; defense or attack.

We're just trying to let you know that even not counting mortars, tree walls are significantly easier to get through than even a stone wall and you probably shouldn't use them.

Thanks, but w/o one there's little reason to use LRM... no? (for the attacker) [Edited after Meow made her response]

And I was more than happy to take over Heff's abandoned stone wall last he attempted my town.

I'm listening- combination approach is wisest. Besides a real tree wall will take months and stone wall can take hours.

Thanks again

Plenty of reason. They're intended mainly for use by the defender.

In addition to things already mentioned I present you with this:

JohnCarver wrote:Greetings Salemites,

So actually putting up all those trees close to fences/buildings/whatever else may do the opposite of what you're intending it to.... damaging rather then protecting if JC so chooses to exercise his right to implement a change in mechanics.
