Popham easter eggs

Postby lachlaan » Thu Jul 21, 2016 3:53 pm

Not really an issue worthy of the help forum, I was just wondering if anyone noticed a huuuuge bump in the easter egg spawning of popham versus Provi. Killing some time on popham for lols and I have found clusters of 8 eggs in 8 separate stumps one near another. Their frequency is also leading me to believe that all the dead turkeys I find in stumps weren't put there by people but instead are dead fertiles hatched from a crapton of red eggs lol.

It's most likely due to the fact that Popham is like 1/10 of the size of Providence, and barely has any players.

I figured it was due to fewer people picking them up. In prov you would have more people checking that stump, so less full stumps when you cane around to it.

I would've assumed they'd aim for similar densities, so even if nobody checked stumps, say, in my personal corner of the world with few neighbours, then i'd still find a few eggs in a huge area, but nope, never found even 2-3 as tightly packed as on popham. Also, relinquish my old base you fiend! or at least rename it from the awful current name D: passed it by on popham recently.

It's entirely based on normal spawn rates, the items spawning just get changed to eggs for a few days. So, it's all about how many people are walking through that area and loading the stumps into memory during the time the spawns can happen.

Ah alright, well in that case I guess density does help loads :) Makes easter quite a bit more fun considering, so if the next expedition starts and is still running by next easter I'll do my best to get all the red eggs ever xD and spawn them too.

Eggs shouldn't still be spawning should they?
