also i never cared whether there were wmds or not and for all you know there could have been a highly credible reason to suspect there in fact were, i also agree saddam should have been left in place to keep the warring groups of ***** in check as i am sure everyone back then that made the call now does as well. hindsight is 20/20 however and he was unwilling to play ball with the oil, wars have been fought over natural resources since the dawn of human civilization and i have no problem with that. making sure gasoline does not spike to $10+ a gallon is a hell of a lot better and realistic reason than to "liberate the iraqi people" anyway

problem is the liberal idiots in this country would have all collectively choked to death on their starbucks latte under such blunt truth, the country would have ground to a halt without cheap gas, and the enviro nazis were attempting to make it so drilling here would have been just as expensive if not more on the scale needed.

so yeah, saddam got *****. oh well.

Yes, that's mostly correct, the problem I have with it, is for one part, that the evidence for wmds was faked, to hide the true reason.
Then after Russia annexes the crimea and invades east Ukraine, Kerry says something like "a superpower in the 21st century must not invade a foreign country with arms under false pretenses",
and people still take him seriously...

And all the refugees flood Yurop and no one remembers the reason why there is war they are fleeing from...

Murica spying on their "friends"... no one remembers...

Snowden... wait, who was that again...

I see there is no one going to take murica to court for things like that, but why do they need to "forget" suchs things instantly?
Not to speak of all the hypocrisy...

Fun fact: He really DOES cut and paste. I found a liberal website the other day with the exact words Claeyt uses every time, with advice to 'use these arguments when you talk about gun control', and lacking any proof for its claims. :/

Claeyt wrote:Poverty and especially concentrated poverty is a much better predictor of gun murders and gun violence than what state has which laws.

I wonder if you realize the significance of this statement. People have been telling you for a long time that other factors besides whether or not guns are available are the main influence on violence and murder. Are you finally starting to realize that?

Darwoth wrote:as a footnote now that the injured result has been tallied along with the killed we are up to 84 dead and 202 wounded in under 30 seconds via truck vs 49 dead and 54 wounded in orlando over three hours via gun, which of course was another episode of islamic tolerance and peace.

Actually, it was about 30 minutes, not 30 seconds. An easy mistake to make; hard to believe that the guy could rampage that long unchecked. He drove for a few miles at speeds of up to 40 mph. At one point, a stupidly brave motorcyclist pulled up alongside him and tried to open the passenger side door and get in. He lost his balance and fell under the wheels. I wonder what would have happened if he had been armed.

Edit: I've had a few reports about double and triple posting in this thread. Darwoth, Claeyt, anyone else, if you want to quote multiple posts, please copy and paste it all into one post rather than making a string of them.

30 seconds was an obvious embellishment and does not include the time traveling there and so on, however i have seen many of the videos of him running folks over and the portion on the stretch where he appeared to have killed the most people was only about a minute long, showed the motorcycle you are referencing (or perhaps a different one) crash out and then the cops open up on the drivers cab.
