Actually I don't know about this. Although Erdogan was somewhat supporting the 'Syrian Opposition' the Turkish Military were the ones calling for a Safe, No-Fly zone in Syria for refugees and shutting off military shipping through the Bosphorous for Russian ships. This isn't a clear win for Putin but it isn't a loss.

There is no control by the Turkish military over those nukes and there hasn't been ever. The U.S. military in Turkey has been based there through at least 3 coups in Turkey so I think there's probably a plan in case of this sort of thing.
All that being said, just like in Egypt the Turkish military is a big supporter of the U.S. military because we give them millions if not billions in support and weapons and I doubt that any American has anything to worry about here.
You can see just by the Turks cheering in the streets for the military that this is supported.
