The only thing I can gather from this is that heffernan appears to be (was?) holding one of salems landmarks hostage until a top hat is payed from the devs as ransom.

Fairly positive that surrounding landmarks, Providence included is against an old statement which JC made.

apparently he gets out of that by providing a long 'but cumbersome and dangerous' alternative.
I have neither the crayons nor the time to explain it to you.

i have no problem at all with controlling port points in this manner and if it were up to me this would be 100% legit, however i asked about this specific thing when they first started coming out and JC did in fact tell me no, maybe because they were new and it had not been thought over at length. though jorb nuked my claim on his pillar island that a month or so later judaism built and has had a base on for the past year and half to, so a certain amount of minor variation on things like that should be expected

yeah especially since u can still leave without doing crimes (marp was going to move the horse rental out of the landmark later so ppl can leave and then get a horse)

but anyway JC is gone 6 months and hasnt done anything, i add content, fun and combat to salem and ppl like juda whine about it, shows the real state of salem..
