looks and sounds pretty terrible basically a larger minecraft with better graphics and less depth, the fact it is ported to console confirms this 100% as i have never played a game that was for PC and was given a console port that was even half up to par with what one would expect from a decent mmo.

Well apparently you can't even build, so it's not even really a larger Minecraft... To me it's looking like Pokemon Snap with planets.

Reminds me of a combo of space and animal phases of Spore.

I watched the youtube videos and it sounded OK... but no perma-death?

So going ass hat wild is OK seemingly. IDK- perhaps penalties weren't well spelled out, but seems if you 'turn in'... you can't lose more than whatever you did/discovered since your last one.

Which, after playing Salem, pretty lame.

IF you lost everything and started over... and/or 90% of it...

It's the losing it all that gives Salem some sense of maturity... nobody runs in with their Main normally... to do PVP,...

It's 60US to downlioad/play it on PC (I have never owned a PlayStation). I'll pass.

Salem is all the game I can handle (some of the time) as it is.

PS- the discovery and chance to name things yourself was tempting... but how many variations of Frakked would it take to ?

Not every game can be perma-death, I suppose.

after playing haven and salem for like the last 5 years a non permadeath game is kind of like stepping out of your top fuel dragster to go play with a set of hot wheels.

It all depends on the game's genre though, but yes in the "exploration/survival" genre, what's the point without permadeath :P

Agreed. If not permadeath, a super harsh penalty at least.

Made a post but then remembered this thread already existed.

Look at all this hype and stuff for no mans sky. Good thing I'm turned off by hype or I would have bought the game and been badly disappointed AND short 60$. The one thing I can say for sure about it is, if you like phallic imagery, this game is for you. It's a damn shame that everyone got so worked up over what is essentially a game where you walk around taking pictures of *****, lame dinosaurs, and amazing obvious glitches. Oh, and spending a long time staring at the playstation crash screen.
