lol dude. I've lived in the US I know how it is. Your hospitals are just as bad as ours, the only difference is that we are not financially screwed if we get injured as we got universal health care. It comes with its problems of course (notably underpaid medical professions) but don't try to tell me that U.S hospitals are more efficient and less overcrowded than French ones. That's simply not true.

Fortunately for me I don't live in a trash city and our hospitals are amazing. Me, my wife and son are typically in and out of a hosptial in 1-2 hours. You also don't get "screwed" if you have insurance.

Your shortage of Dr's is directly related to your bad "free" health system. They get paid ***** all so they come to a real country to get the paycheck they deserve.

Honestly our health system is fairly ***** up but this place has been amazing compared to other cities i've lived in. My hometown took forever because so many assholes were lining up trying to get painmeds so it took actual people forever to be seen. Once you did see a Dr they wouldn't believe you if you were in actual pain.

Mine is like $50 a month I think. If you are unfortunate enough to have to be on obama care then you might be looking at cheap to 100s depending on how much money you make. Obama really screwed people over with insurance.

I had to go to the ER recently and I'd say they did a pretty good job getting me seen and taken care of quickly, I was in a bed getting blood drawn 5 minutes after walking in. Same for my family member who had major surgery, in and out in the morning and he was up and going about his day by that afternoon thanks to skilled surgeons.

Insurance can be costly, it depends on what you get, which tends to depend on your workplace and what they are willing to pay for. Here, so long as you have a job, most businesses will pay for a portion of the insurance as part of your compensation or at least negotiate a discount for their employees, and if you don't have insurance through a job, we do have government assistance. The problem with 'free' healthcare (and the assistance that we have) is that it's never free. Anything the government pays for is payed for by YOU in the long run. You're probably paying as much in taxes for your healthcare as we pay out of pocket, or you're paying less and getting crappier care as a result. You might even be paying more, depends how many you have leeching.

We do have some problems with our insurance / medical bills costs. It's not as much of a free market as it should be, so the prices are higher for some than they should be. It's a problem that government funded healthcare absolutely would not make better since I'm pretty sure government interference is most of what is causing the problem. Obama care, for one.

Precisely. In fact the insurance prices here in Germany are ridiculous.
Yes, normally your employer pays for it, but should one register as self-employed then one would suddenly discover, that the price range begins at 600 euros per month. Unless you make less than 50 grand a year, then it's "only" something like 14% of your income.
People who talk about "free" healthcare don't know jack ****.
