No Man's Sky

So No Man's Sky is being released in August. What do you guys think of the game from what you've seen? I'm still not sure what to think, and I don't exactly see what would keep a player involved in the game. Thoughts?

It seems like it is all about getting to the center of the galaxy where players will discover a giant ark that takes them to Salem.

Anticipated for this game over a year now, I am going to play the **** out of it for sure.

I've waited almost 3 yrs, but I still don't get the point. It seems that you can't affect the planets you visit much, and co-op is pretty much out the window as of now. What are your plans when you begin gameplay?

The game will be very wide, but not deep at all.

This is exactly what I said to my friend when he hyped about this.

I am not convinced. It's in my "tracking list" but I don't have my hopes too high.

- yeah, exactly that.

Hopefully we are wrong though and the game turns out great

Honestly I was looking forward to 0x10c but since it got shelved seems I wont ever get to take a look at that. Watch a few videos of No mans sky. Seems like a lazier version of a bird watching. Travel somewhere do with a friend catalog animals you see that do not really exist. Seriously is the game just about going to another planet and seeing alien animals and checking them off your list. Better off buying the book below.

I agree with you guys for the most part, I mean I wouldn't mind doing the exploration and what not with a friend but I can't really imagine doing all of it alone. All the trading, fighting, etc sounds very dull without any player interaction.
