At which point long lost Tarp Marpton stumbled out of the woods, naked and confused, to find Marp dead.

Having had his decency robbed of him years prior, Tarp could not understand why the figure of his relative was wearing clothes. This was a New World, full of wild naked men, and to live here, nudity was a basic requirement, or so years in isolation and captivity had taught him.

meanwhile the sirens were busy painting their nails because with all the grinding the paint had come off

Tarp began undressing Marp's reeking corpse in the name of the New World and at the same time he felt his gourd begin to pulsate.

[Inotdead]

He looked down at his throbbing, wildly pulsating gourd, when suddenly it spoke to him: "My mission! You must find the Old Gods! The Evil must be contained!"

He claps with his eyelids and if he looks again, the gourd is gone.
He is confused, was it just a dream?

Tarp knew that it has to be done. Even if this was just a dream or an illusion which he might of had from those strange shrooms he ate the day before.

He set out on his quest to find the old gods. Not knowing where to start, he went to the town to find clues.

He adjusted his ill-fitting backpack straps.

To Tarp, "Old Gods" meant a near-guarantee of tentacles!

He had heard from somewhere that to summon the tentacle god Cthulhu he must find a book called Necronomicon.
