claeyt has done nothing since coming into this thread except try to have me and others banned for earth shattering words like "****", demanded a picture of a german general (rommel?) be removed and proceed to tell everyone their rights should be stolen and they should be thrown in jail for choosing to defend themselves.

they are also the ones who always want to raise our countries taxes astronomically to "redistribute the wealth" from those who earned and deserve it to worthless piles of **** that want a free lunch.

I just realized I told flame not to get involved, and then immediately got involved.

I'm the one using logic here. Do you really think American gun laws are right or logical?

All I see is a collection of prime examples of logical fallacies, which apparently are not intentional as you seem to not even be aware of them.
I have neither the crayons nor the time to explain it to you.

You didn't answer the question, apparently intentionally. :D

How can i be involved in a soup of nonsense? I don't even know from where to start!

This is not the kind of discussion i'm interested into. This turned into a stupid throw of the meatball to discredit each other without any care of what each other are truly saying.
It completely uninteresting for me. XD

I feels like if i'm watching a bunch of aliens acting in an obscure way.
I... thought that Salem audience was over 12...

O.o

Edit:
Ah, yeah. I can find something to say. Is simple.

The more easy is to kill, the more easily somene will be killed.
Weapons are "everything", from a hole in the soil, to a machingun.

All you have to decide is what you like more:
More chances to kill (i have an instant kill weapon), which means more chances to get killed (he have an instant kill weapon)
or
Less chance to kill (i have only blades), which is less chances to be killed (he have only blades)

In the first one, the police can't help you, but you can help yourself. At the same time, the amount of people that could kill you instantly, is bigger.

In the second one, you can't fight a gun with a knife, but the amount of people that hold a gun are less and strictly controlled. You will probably met a guy with a knife, instead of a gun, since is Police task to prevent guns.

In both case, you will die almost certainly, since you're not the one that want to kill, so you'll be the second to shoot/stab.
So the choise is not what you want to hold in your hand, but what you want the enemy holds in his hand.

That is.
Everybody then decide what they find more suitable.
Since i would certainly die, i'll leave the task to the police and help them, lowering the chances that the enemy hold a regular gun.
To me is just the logic way to defend myself better.

To you?
It's up to your feelings.
Or, to be more incisive, it's up to How much you trust your government/police.
If you decide to defend yourself with a gun, knowing that this will grow the number of well equipped killers, it means you don't trust the police enough.
The Weapon-Not weapon topic is only a conseguence of it. (That's why it change significantly when you change country.)

As if YOU have the right to say that, ignoring 90% of things people point out to you.

It's really amazing, how a person talking so often about a better peaceful world, full of love and understanding could be so self-conceited, self-righteous and also spewing toxicity left and right.

Strawman argument +1
The fact that you use such loaded terms implies that you are trying to force your own morality on me.
I believe that a modern society should have no need for a right to bear arms. However, we do not live in Utopia and I can see how, from a cold and logical reasoning, the right to bear arms is a possible solution. One I do not like myself and which has in my opinion not proven to be particularily effective. Yet it seems to be part of the American Dream-mindset with its Power to the People; as such, it is rather alien to me.

I am not defending the gun laws, yet you centering your arguments around the gun laws implies that abolishment of the gun laws will magically make all problems disappear. Which is naive in the extreme.
I have neither the crayons nor the time to explain it to you.

Finally i've understood why you guys argue so much on such a simple topic.

In fact, if you don't trust the police, you want a gun.
If you trust the police, you don't want a gun, in order to help the police in his job.

Oh. That was simple.
That's why i can't share anything of what you're saying.
Fine. I have my answer.

Oh, right. You may want to change topic and turn it into "how much do i trust my government?", so that you can see deeply what's so different between you all.
I bet it would be faster.
I don't think you will solve anything if you keep talking of guns.

Nah, it's beyond reason at this point.
For me it's not about what Cleayt says, since a tiny portion of it is not entirely unreasonable, but rather how he says it and how he puts himself in a conversation.
But evidently from his answers to me before the irony is lost on him.

Also, to any new guys wondering about that Darwoth vs Claeyt meetup, I happen to remember that thread very well. Despite what Claeyt tries to pull off here what really happened is that when Darwoth offered to meet for a private civil chat, Claeyt declined by inviting him to some gay bar to meet his gay friends he is so proud of. Naturally, Darwoth wasn't really fond of the idea, since he was hoping for a more intimate environment where they could share their deepest secrets with each other. I guess Claeyt is still kinda Heartbroken about this as I can hear the mourning of an unrequited love in his "coward!" calls.

I've always been amazed at shows like 'The Walking Dead' or movies like '28 Days'. It's stupid to think that any sort of Zombie attack could happen in America. There are 322,000,000 people in America and 310,000,000 guns in America. With nearly one gun for every person wouldn't it be easy to just shoot all the zombies?

It's estimated that there are 16 billion bullets stored in the homes of America. Enough to put 2 in the head of every man, woman and child on the planet.

Hefferman was right. We're always at war.

Nice try, but there's no covering for Darwoth's cowardice. He said anytime, anywhere and I gave him a time and place to try and punch me in the face. He chickened out.

Like I told Tmeow, someone's going to have to go dig it up. I nominate you.
