I really hope that the future people would rethink that.

People forget that the internet is NOT a public forum. This is a privately owned forum, owned by this game's owners. What's allowed to be said on this forum, how this forum is run and the administration of this forum directly reflects their views and we as players and customers can judge that.

Offensive stuff is banned because of manners more than for legal reason on most forums. You can legally walk up to some random black guy and start shouting N bombs at him and he can't legally punch you in the face, but as normal human beings we don't. As a society we don't do it because it's rude and disgusting and generally not a nice thing to do. Darwoth's and now Dallane's use of that term is the same thing. They're being assholes. They're not doing anything illegal. I think all websites should ban/mod assholes from being assholes for just general harmony of the forum and so the forum doesn't go off the rails. MortalMoments HAS banned most of the violent racism that Darwoth used to post years ago and I think the forum is better for it.

There will always be assholes legally spouting off stuff like this, especially in the relatively anonymous atmosphere of an internet forum, and they'll always be nice guys like me calling them assholes for talking like that. I have no illusions that they'll stop being assholes. I know they'll still be racist or homophobic but it's learned behavior so there's always hope that they'll unlearn it. Eventually the world and society will pass them by and view them as being old fashioned assholes and terms like that eventually seem rude and fade into obscurity just like so many other slurs in history. That's how the world changes and if Darwoth is ever able to get a girl blind drunk so as to impregnate her without her throwing up at the sight of his penis then his kid will live in a better world where his dad's racist, homophobic rants will seem old fashioned and strange and when he speaks in such vulgar name calling ways his kid will say "Dad, stop being an *******". His kid will grow up thinking gay people have always gotten married and that black or female presidents are normal and boring. This is how the world changes... slowly... with love in the heart and honor in the soul.
