If this is in reference to Seattle's little "15$ and hour" experiment, then I get it now. What I don't get is how nobody understands basic economics. All they want is more money, and sure if they had more they could pay for all the stuff they need to pay for. Except that isn't true. When wages go up, operating costs go up, prices on goods and services rise to cover the operating costs, everyone ends up in the same situation as they were before, and nothing has changed except the value of the money goes down. All because some burger flippers think they deserve far more than what their job is worth.
I'm all for fairness, but being paid 15$ for making french fries or pushing shopping carts is about as fair as the management treating itself to a fancy dinner while sitting on a balcony overlooking the cashiers and writing it off as a business expense.
