Beds, Inventory Dump Bug.

Anyone who owns a bed most likely knows about this horrendous crime against our pockets, it must be fixed.

Its a simple bug, if you log in while sleeping in a bed, you'll appear in the center of the bed, and if for some reason you log out or crash while standing in the center of the bed your next login will be at your leanto with all of your inventory dumped out.

Now, anyone who owns a house with a bed inside likely has the bed against the wall, and if your inventory gets dumped, half of it will go into the walls.. effectively lost forever.

The simple fix for this is to make beds Nocliped, like leantos. If you log out while standing in the middle of a bed, you'll still be moved to your leanto(or perhaps the bed?), but your inventory will not be lost just like logging out on top of your leanto.

I know this problem, I have had a a few times. but there are some ways around it.

1.) You do not lose inventory until you say so while logging in, so you can just cancel and not login and use another char to clear the area first.

2.) If you crash while logging in, and you char is standing in the bed, login again fast sometimes helps.

3.) Have an alt there, a 5 bile one will do, so you can lift the bed and place it elsewhere so your other char can log in.

I take it this is happening at some minor base of yours? Looking at your trade thread, your main base must be crawling with alts.

Ive had this happen to me in the past, but i have since logged an alt out next to my bed, as Taipion pointed out. I also run 2 clients at the same time in case i need to relog quickly. Its not an issue for me anymore.

I posted this thread for a friend, whos new to the game and just had this happen to him. He lost quite a few valuable items.. including a couple store items i gave him.

I think I requested this already: You should be able to walk through beds, like it is with leantos.

Some things in Salem are ...well, things you need to learn, but when it comes to things that involve bypassing bugs that are triggered by client-crashs, I guess that does not qualify as something in the game you need to learn, but rather as something that should be fixed.
