Unable to rummage

So i am not able to rummage mermaids purse's or split beaver tails and i am pretty sure i have all the perks required. Anyone have an idea what the problem might be?

you may have study protection enabled in one of the custom clients. it's an option in the general tab stopping you from destroying inspirationals like these.
I have neither the crayons nor the time to explain it to you.

try to hold shift while you right-click?
