Definitely. Black and White was awesome considering what computers were capable of at the time, but there was all this hype about how much more awesome 2 was going to be and it really did fall pretty short of expectations, at least in my mind.

Godus has just been crazy for how bad it's been. The original promises made it sound like it would be awesome, like Black and White but even better. I bought it right off and played the first version. Pretty good but needed some work. Instead of just fixing the problems, he completely redid it and didn't actually make it better. Then he did it again, and at least one more time. Complete redos without actual improvement just kinda shuffling things around. Then there was promised a fighting system to go in and it turns out it's just a second game. Two incomplete games that he doesn't appear to intend to integrate. I'm sorry I ever bought the game. :/

It was the same with Fable franchise after the first game - ambitious promises and poor execution. Wonder if people would still trust him with money when/if he comes with another grand idea.
