As a weapon that can deal out some serious damage to animals (one rifle shot for a deer, about three or so for a bear), and seriously cripple a player, the mechanics as they are are fine.

If not a reload stance, at least make it so when you right click the gunpowder or musket balls an option to (load) the object into the gun pops up so I don't have to drag it all the way to my gun UI then back into my inventory/backpack, etc. UI.

Well it seems like your complaint is mostly with the dragging it over the ui to load. I don't see how this isn't intended. If you're trying to load a rife when a sword or halberd welding assailant is running at you there should be some sense of fumbling. Like trying to unlock the door before the murderer gets you.

I've changed all my clothes mid combat. I won't explain why you might want to do that.

Besides that, it's a powerful equalizer and strong weapon. Exactly why it's % based damage.

Embrace WASD, nothing atrocious about it. I use WASD and not even the gods can ko a WASD user. ;)

It's probably not hard to add at all, but you're right about the second part.

i like that its based off % damage to players, for a game that tries to be real to the point of meat and fruit getting spoiled, Salem should have it so fire arms wreck.....its a gun. It also protects against titans. It levels the field of one care bear that hid and ate to 800yellow and red biles, and just started wrecking on better but newer pvpers. When selling this game to friends that played Haven and Hearth, this was a point that got them to play. noobs that have 100biles being able to fend off a titan in some way.

At the same time, if it is going to do 33% Damage to a player then it should be hard to reload and use....... just like a real musket. One thing that i think is soooo stupid in any game is were you have stupid designers that have the "archer class" Doing back flips running full speed backwards and shooting a long bow. I would hate to see salem do some kind of retarded ass kiting with a musket O_o.

That is why I suggested removing % dmg along with making it somewhat easier to reload.

And why should titans be frowned upon so much? It's hard/time consuming to make a 1-2k + bile character right now(unless you have fruit or w/e, in which it still takes some time)
Hardly anyone even makes titans because of the crime system and trial by combats, etc. in the first place so those who do make titans are usually those people who are purely defenders of their own base when push comes to shove.

And this suggestion is also more aimed at groups vs single people. If 4 people with guns decide to throw batarangs all at the same time in front of them for example, how do you expect to dodge something so easily because if even one hits you, boom, enemy turns on at the ready skill, fires; your titan is gone, and the enemy never even tried/lifted a finger to actually be a good pvp'er(who the hell cares to reload at that point). Because it's unbalanced? Not every single aspect need to be a certain way for realism.

If you want to keep at least some realism involving firearms, give it bile based damage and a bleeding effect cause people hella' bleed when they get shot. Then you can at least counteract some of it with blood based tea/time to escape.

[Please do not compare heaven and hearth combat with Salem combat, it is soooo different even without %dmg guns, a skilled Salem player with 200 biles can still best a char with 600 biles if he knows how to pvp, I highly doubt that in H&H]

Most people think that titans have some sort of unfair advantage; that once you do manage to get one, you'll be an unstoppable mayhem machine. Which is why they are called 'titans' in the first place. That's wrong, of course, but the guns were changed to % damage entirely so that there would always be an obvious way for a group of small players of almost any size to work together and kill such a titan. So that anyone can see that titans aren't unstoppable.

If 4-6 well trained citizen soldiers shoot your dumb ass it should be dead, unless you are really lucky, no matter how fat you are.

Might aswell make thrusting people with sabres do %dmg too. Anyone would die from 4-6 gaping stab wounds. (Especially in the Salem Era)

Oh, and if someone gets uppercutted 10-20 times, they auto K.O. from head trauma and then permadie in their sleep if they try to log out.
