You'd think they would have to be smarter to herd, but yeah, we had one once when I was a kid and it was the stupidest dog I've ever known. It wandered into our yard one day and no one claimed it in the paper so we kept it. It kept wandering off and not knowing how to get home and we picked it up many times from the neighbors and the pound. Then one day it disappeared and we got no calls about it. We figured it got taken in by a new family that kept it like we did and they would now have to pick it up from the pound. :/ I wonder how many owners that dog had.

Sounds like the dog owned all of you instead lol. Perhaps the dog decided to go own another family.

Can only see it now. "Yo fam come get meh out of the pound! I done peed on the neighbors bush and chased the mailman again. They caught me need bail money."

Shizuka, if you are going to get a small dog I would suggest you get one that is intelligent. Most of my life growing up I have had various sheep dogs. But the smartest dogs I ever had were Shetland Sheepdogs. One of which was trained to even track scents.

My boy Zeplin looked a lot like this. Unfortunately I do not have any digital images of him. He lived for 15 years and even after he went deaf responded to hand commands. You may look at the dog and say it looks like lassie but all of the collies I ever had were as dumb as a box of rocks.

i cant , on of my neighbor had this dog, 5 of them, one day i was little i opened the fence to ring at their door, coz i needed some sugar to make some waffles, and the dog came at me, i was so scared and it bite me on the upper part of the legg (not so hard, i cried so much its so bad memory for me, i dont wna see this type of dog again . plus they"re super big and he used to put them in the car and then drive to then be able to walk them somehwere else, i dont want a big dog like that lol

I think you confuse them with Rough Collie (Lassie type), those seem half the size of a Rough Collie.
