He is afraid of yoghurts (the sound it makes when you detach them from the pack). He never listens except when he is on unknown territory where he keeps close to us because he is probably afraid of his own shadow. He is magnificent though.

I wish my dogs would get there food stolen by the chickens. instead they steel the chicken food and rip apart the chicken coops and fences while they are doing it. I love them, but I also want to twist their heads off when they rip those pens apart. Nice dog argentis.

One technique that I heard of is to put your dog in a big bag and then throw a hen in while hitting the bag with a stick and making a lot of noise. It will traumatize the dog that will be afraid of chickens for the rest of his life. Barbaric but probably effective. ¦]

I doubt it would be the case. An animal that dies in pain tenses up and so the meat would be super tough.

Well I have never tasted dog meat (as far as I know) and my argument is born from logic not experience ;p

Shizuka, if you are going to get a small dog I would suggest you get one that is intelligent. Most of my life growing up I have had various sheep dogs. But the smartest dogs I ever had were Shetland Sheepdogs. One of which was trained to even track scents.

My boy Zeplin looked a lot like this. Unfortunately I do not have any digital images of him. He lived for 15 years and even after he went deaf responded to hand commands. You may look at the dog and say it looks like lassie but all of the collies I ever had were as dumb as a box of rocks.

Technically my first dog was a great pyrenees that was not trainable, anti-social with people, and thought he was one of the sheep until another wild animal came to close to the sheep. The dog once approached during sheering the sheep thinking he was next.
