Grinding bones and butchering without a knife are both ball achingly tedious tasks. I find wrought iron to be far more satisfying than it is boring. Mostly because I do it with real people instead of alts.

Oh, and spreading humus. I should buy some whale crap or something.

If it's for hay its generally faster to pick Reeds. and I think you can use a windmill for fast bone grinding

Mining around ludicrous amounts of dark tile when you don't want to drop down. I went from the ladder to the zonewall and turned left toward a new corner on a lvl 7, and hit a gargantuan dark tile patch. I was eventually raging my ass off. I'm almost to the corner zone wall by now. Basically, got ***** out of 1/4 of the best metal on the level. At least I have 1000's of boulders to chip during the next Blood Moon.

I got tired of screenshotting it. It's a lot bigger than it looks. It's either one solid patch that is hundreds of units long and possibly also wide, or it's several smaller ones in a tight cluster. Maybe it's common for there to be a 250x??? dark tile patch on lower levels. I don't know. I ***** hope not.

Nope, flour and cornmeal only in windmills. Even the old ones couldn't do bones.
