Please Change the Destruction dynamic

This is so annoying. I built a structure in my mine. The mine caved in and now the structure wont work. Apperently my phlegm level isn't high enough to destroy a structure I built. That is just broken. If I built it I should be able to take it down.

It is intended. Would you like it if someone walked down into your mine and destroyed everything in matter of minutes?

We gave you the ability to easily destroy things you own on your own claim. If you want to build strange things in your mine, be careful they are where you want them to stay or you might have to put some extra effort in to destroy them.

You can learn arson and then you can craft stuff that will slowly destroy the structures you can't destroy.

As a new player to have to spend hours training a skill to destroy a glitched building makes me sad. I actually got it destroyed by causing a series of 7 cave ins that destroyed it but still that was time spent doing something silly. I understand the logic of not letting people waltz in and destroy stuff but that's why I put a claim stone on the front door to the mine.

It is recommended to not build in your mine unless you have a clear understanding on what you are doing. Your request comes to us veterans as the same as if you weren't happy that you got killed in CoD by your own grenade. Salem is a harsh game with steep punishment for newbie mistakes. The more you understand the mechanics the less you'll screw yourself.

It's not so much a matter of screwing ones self, it's more a matter of if the game realized hey the same guy who built this structure wants to remove it. All I am saying if the off base penalty of destroying a building didn't apply to buildings that the original builder is trying to remove. I'm not requesting make it easy for everyone to destroy buildings, just don't make it near impossible for a new player to remove a building that he built. Regardless if it is in a mine or right next to your town.

I think that's very hard to manage. For example, if any member of a town which covered the mine entrance built something which ended up obstructing another part of the mine, who gets to destroy it? The mayor? A pclaim owner? ONLY the original builder? What if that character was killed, or stopped playing. Or fell out of favor with the town and went about destroying everything they made before running off?

These betrayals would be felt much more strongly than the inconvenience you are feeling now. Trust is the hard part of this game, not crafting and building.

I never said to make it undestroyable to mayor, pclaim owner or other players. I am merely suggesting letting the original builder destroy the object he builds at the same rate he would on his home claim. If the player went offline like you are suggesting then the ability to destroy the object would revert to how it is now. To address your concern about someone rampantly destroying all the stuff he made, you can already do that albeit at a slower pace.

I suppose there is something similar to this where wall segments are more easily destroyed shortly after being built. I don't remember why this was implemented, but one effect is that if you make a mistake or change your mind, it's easier to rework the wall.

I could see the devs entertaining an idea that structures built in mines would be easier to destroy for a short while after being built, but I would be surprised if they made it possible for the building's life, even for just one character or account.
