Folks that move on to Star Citizen and other Salem-like games aren't going to drop them for new updates here. The time to sink the hook is now... not later.
Which of the 4 do I not have to do?
Quit: 1. Create more grandiose defenses that nobody but 1% of the server has a prayer of breaching... ever
2. Adding phlem to routine stuff period. Mine Levels, Bellows for Wrought, etc... these are all making it harder for newer players to enjoy everything you have coded into the game. Again it's that 1% factor.
3. Making changes that only benefit the top 1%... until it benefits the top 50% or more. You appear to keep raising the bar as soon as anyone appear to threaten the top 1%... either make them immortal/gods... and move them all onto the dream world... where they can NEVER touch the physical one... or just stop already.
What they don't love you enough to keep playing if their status isn't handed to them? Seriously?
That would make one hell of a advertiser... "Come Join Salem, where the Dev protects his long term players by making them godly and you will have spend 100000 hours or $10000US to ever hope to compete?!"
This is the kind of argument that could be made- for 'protecting' the top 1% as you've been doing.
Exactly what did you think was going to happen when you made this change... Did you think it was going to bother the toon with 1000 humors or 150 humors? Seriously?! This is a no brainer!
[Special Note- seems only a few of the top 1% consult on the test server]4. Creating store tools... and nullify all current store stuff.
It would hurt me... but if you were serious about your statement that you don't need any more monies; that the game could survive without a single dime forever... why sell store packages?
Drop them from the store... and remove all current store tools and/or nerf them.
