that is a blood soaked cloth, i stumbled upon one the other day in game, and like any pilgrim, i put it in my pocket and went on with my day. why THAT dosnt cause insanity, I'll never know.

I'm also conflicted about the whole blood moon thing, as I apparently smell like cougar food, and there hasnt been one since ive been playing again
