TotalyMeow wrote:John was originally not going to put the game on Steam because of the way they make people pay for games like Salem, that should be free. He finally did try to put it in Greenlight, but Steam messed up and put it in the Software section where it got absolutely no attention at all. Despite several attempt to get Steam to fix their mistake, it never got moved. He'll probably try again when we're ready for another Expedition.

My brother and I spent 2 weeks looking for a game like this. We tried many titles, started with steam, but steam didn't have a game like this at all. We then went to an indie game site that had Salem listed. We had to do our research, try many different games before we played this. I have many friends who will only play games that steam provides, because they provide a working game, with no effort required on their part.

Salem would THRIVE on Steam.
Charge $4.99 and include a "Noobie Pack". This is not rocket science marketing here....lol
This game needs players. ASAP. We have this HUGE world map that can house 100s of players and we have what, a few dozen (with multiple alt accounts) who are actually active. Now if it's a technical issue (afraid an influx of this many new players would bring down the server), then that's a different issue I guess.
Just my .02
