Turkey Permadeath..

Postby Andromedan » Mon Mar 14, 2016 11:00 am

A couple of days ago I started playing Salem again. Could someone tell me why a turkey perma-killed my character, after I tried to club it to death :D ? I just read that they are invincible, but nothing about permadeath by turkey..

Were you in darkness? Might it have been a hydrukey? http://salemwiki.info/index.php/Hydrukey

Otherwise, how did you permadie exactly? Did it go directly from combat -> ko -> no more character?

was it perhaps a bloodmoon ? Under a bloodmoon (red moon in the top left) everything that kills you outside immediately permakills you. That said, I am not aware it is currently bloodmoon (as I'm waiting for one >.>)
I have neither the crayons nor the time to explain it to you.

Looks like it's bloodmoon on Popham, so yeah probably that. Do you know if you were on Popham?

Yeah, the image in the bottom-left area of the screen was red. Crazy, Yesterday some see-through cat predator killed me a couple of times out of the blue at my settlement. Luckily a 4 day old character taught this lesson..thanks for the replies guys.

cougars are not your friend. They deal more damage the worse your bleed debuff is, and they also worsen your bleed debuff ...

Ah this seems to be the difference between you thinking a KO is death. Are you sure you do not have a bat on your neck?

Well, it was a blood moon and a turkey killed me. It was not a KO, a window popped up and then I was logged out and the character was gone.

It was infact a KO, but whenever you KO during a Bloodmoon your character dies.
