Okay. Sorry. Kiddin'
Basically, what i wanna ask/discuss is the fact that permakill can't be "achieved" in providence (ignoring a few ways).
I'm one of those carebe-- carebear? Flame, you should not use words you can't spell...!
I'M a soft-player and i didn't liked permadeath system in H&H. It was largely "abused" by players, by bugs. Or so i felt it for various un-balancing matters.
But yet, a survival crafting game have carnivores beasts, and i miss the fear of a bear, or of a cougar. They actually attacks you and it's just an issue, not really a problem or a danger. More a boring fact that you'll loose your items, wich can drive mad someone with frustation (me too) but nothing really exciting or challenging.
Salem Battle System permits to run, dodge and lastly, flee with swimming. Bears are more dangerous, but also a lot more visible. Also, beasts makes sounds quite often.
With all of this details, you can have a fair battle against the animals. The cougar, the bear, should have the chance to kill me, if i risk too muchm. Should have the will to do it, IF they want. Not a 100% possibility, but at least the risk that they wounds you mortally or decide that they hates you that bad!
Hunt is one of the main activity in a survival crafting game, and also the place where players and game can fight each other in a fair battleground, called Personal Skill.
When i realized that no animal can Kill you, i've lost interest in go hunting. Is almost a merely farming process, where you go, hit, flee, go, hit flee, ops i've lost, who cares, go hit flee. I go hunting when i need meat with the same attitude i go to supermarket. XD
I think the dark Beasts can kill you, maybe, but the step and the time i need to be able to fight a dark beast, is biiiig. It could ask me a full year or more to feel myself able to fight a dark beast.
The early (and middle) game lacks the challenge in hunting.
Now that you know the story of my life ( lol ), all i want too know is if there are other Soft-Players that feels the lack of a fair danger when hunting evil beasts. This have nothing to do with raiders and fights between players, so it should be more interesting to all those people that carefully avoid the fight with raiders, but yet likes the challenge of a survival videogame.
Good lunch to me, and to you! Lemme know what do u think!
