Buff mouldy boards

Postby Potjeh » Thu Nov 22, 2012 5:10 pm

IMO they are way too disappointing now. Sure, I understand that they're supposed to be result of a failure, but as they are now it'd almost be better to get nothing than these boards. Getting half the choppings (you can make 2 blocks instead of one board) for five times the phlegm cost (not the actual numbers, just hyperbole) is almost an insult ;)

Anyway, here's some improvements of their usefulness that come to mind:
- Make them yield 4 choppings when split
- Make them directly compostable, splitting them is just a pain in the ass
- Make them an upkeep fertilizer. You know how people cover some crops (cucumbers, for example) with nylon sheet to avoid soil dessication? I'm guessing that they did this with old boards before the plastic age. This would save some more clicks, and if fertilizer invariety is ever penalized the boards would come in handy.

Mmm... I don't want a fertilizer that results from failure. Trying to fail in order to get something seems kinda dumb, and Mabinogi shows that stupidity to the extreme. That or it'll be a ****** fertilizer which doesn't help.

Not unless they are identical to an existing fertilizer anyway.
It's been neat to see the evolution of a game. Salem has come so far, and still has far to go. Although frustrating, I think it's been an experience worth the effort.

Atleast let us put them into charcoal clamps!

I think moldy boards are getting too much attention right now. In a week, when everyone will be making their piles correctly and get only dry boards, noone will really care about moldy ones :)

iirc, success is somewhat based on Hammer and Nail though isn't it?
