Why does this have to be risk free, i mean one of the reason i like Salem in the first place is that you avoid risk by use of common sense rather than game mechanics.

Look at the end of the day this is a simple monthly event (3 days in every 30 days) that doesn't require JC to be here for it to happen (this strikes me as a good thing) it exposes the players to a little risk (cough cough), it is griefable with a lot of effort (3 stalls plus 50 reserves slots of 5k branches when a player can only put up 2 items would require quite a bit of effort) and brings people into contact with each other (thus providing a possibility for other stuff to randomly occur), while allowing smaller sized players without massive claims and towns to make a little profit (although I admit this is not needed as a quick walk in the woods will net you 3 feathers for 90 silver in less than an hour).

No this is not needed, but you know some people might find it fun, useful or even entertaining. I mean if it's a bad idea, it's a bad idea i fully accept that but Y so Srs guys?

Because you are making a terrible system that is easy to grief and exploit.

As a smaller sized player, I have to say that I like this idea and the socializing part. Sometimes I just need to quick trade something I don't have the space or use to hold onto. Clawing my way to world of Mercantilism is a LOT just to dump some random bits and bobs from scavenging. I think, like IRL, there has to be something in between for different levels of commerce: There's corporate (white stalls), there's small businesses (blue stalls), and e-businesses (forums) and then there are times you just need a table in a parking lot or a blanket on the sidewalk to get some side-hustling done. Its a more attractive and efficient than hollering like some newsie to random strangers or getting robbed at trading barrels.
