Mermaids Purse

Since the change of the fish traps to shellfish traps I have not gotten a single mermaids purse in one. Have not gotten any fishing with a pole either. Has anyone else gotten any either way?

I still get mermaids purses in my traps. And have no trouble fishing. One of the devs once said every kind of fish has areas that can be found so maybe you are using bait for fish that is not in your area. Try different pot or different lure.

You should probably try another spot, fish and shellfish seem to be very dependent on where you actually throw your pole or put your trap. In addition don't forget the lure as kataklinger said.

The traps are in the same spot as before and used to get several. I will test different lures with the pole.

Also it is rumored that those spots tend to move a bit over time.

Spots will move over time so you got to keep testing.
