Maybe T2 witch forum, but AFAIU it takes basically nothing to become an entry level witch.

If there was an easy to access source of information for witches then it wouldn't be much of a mystery, would it?

both of you are aware there IS a witches' forum, right?
Though it is expressly not meant for exchanging information, but rather for reporting bugs specific to witchcraft.
I have neither the crayons nor the time to explain it to you.

After many years of gaming, this phenomenon still continues.. where the ***** does the glass go!?

Why in the hell does making a barrel of tar use up the glass jars??
Why in the hell does drinking potions consume the glass vials??

Do you take the whole jar and toss it into the barrel?

And does your character swallow the vial like a giant pill?

I understand the need for a resource sink, but damn.. 10 jars for 1 barrel is insane considering that any other barrel would have you use a bucket to fill it.

I propose that we just build a regular barrel, and right click jars of tar onto them, needs 10 jars to fill the barrel otherwise its not usable. Or make it give back 10 jars upon completion of the barrel.

This this this this.

'Recycling'

New high-level skill that requires Pharmacological Formal, problem solved.

Allows the preservation of some glass objects such as Jars, Vials, and maybe a rare chance to recover glass pane or two from destroying objects that use glass (adds a reason other than trolling for breaking stuff in raids)

Other little things can be added to the skill, but please for the love of logic, please make it possible to recover glass vials and jars somehow.

What about the Rattler serum bottles?

I do think that potions are embedded enough into gaming that it is generally acceptable for htem to be consumed. If I made them 'liquids' then they may as well go in flasks as well at which point whats really the point of 'potions' at all? Why not just have substances? I agree it is a bit counter-productive to logic, but I do think its one of those areas where gameplay fun and design space trumps the logic.

People have been drinking potions and smashing the bottles since the beginning of tabletop rpgs. I see no reason to change that.

Make more things require glass (eg, serum), make fewer vials/bottles/jars per pane, make a small % chance (10-20%? maybe it depends on natural philosophy or something?) of the jar breaking with a sound effect?

As it stands things like caterpillar in a jar are very difficult to justify, but if we got the glass back then you could add all kinds of dumb **** for us to do with glass that we would be happy to do because we wouldn't be terrified of dipping into our precious glass supply.
