Started in HnH. And have gone back to Hafen since they announced the coming end of the server. The early game is more challenging then Salem but it is slower paced.

even right before the game shutdown i managed to get the lead developer to check it out and say how awesome it is wich made me proud.

only people who played SWG will know how long it took to decorate everything considering how hard it is for correct placement and how much love to detail is in there (and thats just a few room i could save there was more)

Ew NGU gross

But yea thats a ton of time invested. I wish i had my death watch bunker screens

DWB? oh god dont remind me of that, i was main Commando with 5pc Frontman and blocking uit, with ent and medic buffs it was so easy to survive down there solo but once medbuffs ran out i instadied.. whilst i also saw lightside jedi with macros AFK down there for hours to farm schematics for mando stuff...

also about a year ago a SOE Employee got fired so he said **** it and stole the SWG Source Code (no joke) and send them to the community and they started opening a server with it (wich is just in testing)

Also my first mmorpg. Started playing in college as a single character on my brother's account. I couldn't afford internet at my apartment so only got to play on the weekends that I visited home. I managed to get to about level 30, though by the time the third expansion came out, I had quit playing for lack of time. After that, I actually only played MUDs for quite a few years because they were easier on my dialup. :? I tried to get back to MMOs later but they were all so cutesy and dumb, I didn't play any seriously until Salem.

For me the first mmorpg would be DarkEden.
Damn, I loved that game.
Seems laughable today, but back then it was a whole new experience - I found the idea of sharing the same world with other people from all over the globe incredibly fascinating. But then again, for me personally, that could have been said about internet in general at that time. I had no idea about anything network-related in my early youth, so the sudden realization that there is some kid thousands of miles away from me typing "lel, ur a feggit" was almost enlightening
I've played a lot of mmo games after that, never sticking to one for long. Still looking for "the One"
Wish I still had all the screenshots I ever made :(

D3 is actually 100x better than release.

Actually. that's true. I remember my brother convinced me to get the expansion, and I did, in fact, end up having some good times on hc.
Guess I got caught in the moment remembering the initial disappointment.
