so 6 tiles separation between the piles means 9 tiles of separation between the tiles you actually place them on since they're 3x3, in other words every 10 tiles?

I noticed in screenshots everyone seems to place them centered on a tile which makes them overlap with 3x3 tiles, yet they seem to very comfortably fit within 2x2 tiles if you center them on the corner of the tile rather than the middle. Is this not more space efficient?

Put another way, if you do center them on the tile, does the distance from other piles only count pixel-by-pixel or tile-by-tile? eg, if they were centered on the tiles with two tiles between the tiles they were centered on, are the piles 2 tiles apart, 1 tile apart (since they only overlap half into the next tile each), or 0 tiles apart (since they both occupy part of each of the two tiles between them)?

I had pretty good yields (~85%+) putting them on 2x2 tiles with a 5 tile gap between the 2x2 piles, but would be good to know if I'm doing it wrong lol.

I just harvested my first ever piles with 100% success. Was expecting at least 1 mouldy board from the reports I have been reading on here. I harvested them as soon as they were ready. Does leaving them after they are ready cause mould?

Would carrying things with hit box hurt ti timber pile? Either carrying on the back or pulling on a slide?
