Is this game still alive?

Postby CatoSicarius » Fri Feb 12, 2016 9:33 am

Subj, is anyone playing this? Servers seem deserted, havent seen a single person yet even in towns on both servers.

town is not a very merry place to be - except for the occasional trade, I never go there. You can get bewitched or diseased in town, or other nasty things.
right now we're waiting for a pretty major patch likely to hit this weekend, so that will give a boost again too.
I have neither the crayons nor the time to explain it to you.

I liked when town was a safe place. It made the game more fun. Now it will always be deserted.

Poop-ham won't be finding many players because Darwoth is about to finish the server for good (He had to raise a third circle witch and pray on all statues, which will bring domestic animals to providence for only a small elite of players but let's find out how it works from there).

Yes the game is very alive we also have a few streamers and youtube content creators.

I visit town regular and have only got diseased once. Don't think its that bad IMO. Then again, if I had gotten big pox, I haven't got the cure for that. I got the disease that only needed a leach to cure. I have been getting any skill I can for potions but the big pox one is yet to be in my capacity.

There's usually a few people in town at all times. I come on at really odd times and there's always some Australian or Russian player in Providence. Popham's almost done so it's pretty bare.

As for numbers it's down from release numbers (2500 daily) to around 550-650 daily but it's up a bit since the Xmas break to where it's over 600 every weekend. We'll probably see another boost when the new server goes online and with all of HnH's troubles.

As for historic numbers we're up from when it was down to a couple hundred daily players across 3 servers 2 years ago.
