Compass and forum pm notifications

Hi,

I am a fairly new player so if there is some version of what I would like to see included to the game, forgive. Other than some of the tool tips not popping up for me on menu items like the crucifix inspirational (I don't know if there is a reason this might be deliberate), there are a couple of things I would love to see added to the game.

#1 -- A compass item that when equipped, either adds N, S, E and W to the minimap and then the mini map rotates in sync with which way you are facing or my personal preference would be to have a north pointing arrow above the head like when you are prospecting or tracking scents. Sometimes when I rotate the camera on my travels to look under or around trees, I sometimes feel a little disorientated and then strugglle a little trying to go back in the direction i was going and figuring out which way is north to point the camera, (my standard camera view). This would be an item I would be willing to pay for in the shop. If people don't like or need it, they don't use it. Could be an inspirational item too that can be hung from the neck maybe.

#2 -- I would really love the game to have an option to link to the forum and have a little pop up (like the system messages last night for the patch), when you receive a PM in your inbox. The forum does have a pop up option but when I'm playing the game and have firefox open the pop up will not activate unless I switch to Firefox. Maybe someone will give me advice around that problem but it would still be a nice feature. Maybe people from the trading threads might like it. I know you could say, well, you have in game chat, but sometimes I get screen shots sent to pm and also get longer messages that are just too unworkable in game.

I haven't had a chance to have a go on your client, I use latakai. I don't know where yours is. Is it a private client? Where I found a link to clients, it only listed enders and latikai.

I love the idea of a craftable or buyable compass that you could wear around your neck in the necklace slot. Then you can right click on it to show N,S,E,W

Yeah, my gf has a hell of a time with this as well... Not suggesting the game should be optimized for non-gamers but just adding a data point that it would be at least one less person with a big headache

To be fare though, the 8th was my birthday and I did have a couple cheeky drinks.
