Cannot pick up

I was making bajgiels and I was at that point when you put the boiled bajgiel doughs in the bread oven when instead of dropping some branches I dropped all boiled bajgiels dough which was around 250, then I tried to pick them up (they weren't close to any structure) but I couldn't for some weird reason then they all spawned. Btw I tried pick up other items that I dropped to test if whole salem client had crashed but it didn't work.
This was f*cking annoying.

So you clicked on the wrong item? Meaning to drop all branches you dropped all bajgels?

Well can you pick up now? Sometime when I drop stuff near an object, it only let me pick up one and I have to move out and move back in to pick up another one, try and see if that is the problem?

I'm not sure how to help though. To avoid it, don't ctrl-shift click when you have a lot of valuable items in your inventory unless you're being very careful. Make more trips from your cook pots to your bake ovens so you don't have so much to lose. There's not much else advice anyone can give.

That really sucks! Best bet is to try and be more careful when dropping stuff.

I see what he means, just had it happen to me recently. I was trying to put some grubs in a box and ctrl alt clicked instead of shift alt, it dropped them on the ground, i tried to pick them up and it only let me pick 1 up, so I moved the box, and they despawned before I could get back to the pile.. took maybe 5 seconds total. I could give a crap about 5 grubs, but yeah I would be irritated if it was as much as the op lost..
