So disappointing

I didn't back it, but I was really looking forward to it. This video will also, moving forward, be my new response to our critics. "Well, at least we didn't blow our startup money on booze and strippers!" Instances like these, I fear, will continue to become more common and will end up hurting the crowdfunding concept in exactly the way it should so that not just everyone can scoot through with funds like that and investors become more wary of exactly whom they are backing.

I like to expect the best from people, but in this case it does seem to be deliberate. No-one without knowledge accidentally lists themselves as 'consultant'.
I have neither the crayons nor the time to explain it to you.

This is what you get when you make your friends business and financial consultants for your small indie game company. How did he not see this coming?
I would have loved to hear the pitch on why a company this small needed a Director of Finance and a Director of Operations focused on business strategy.

Truly a sad thing to see..

One question though, Dont you sign an agreement with Kickstarter that when your project is fully funded you are legally obligated to fulfill the goal and give the backers what they where promised?

Kickstarter should be ripping those idiots a new ******* for ***** the backers, excluding the guy who wasn't involved of course.

Thats what Kickstarter was made for right? to provide a crowdfunding platform that protects the backers and helps the Devs?

It turns out, yes.

"Is a creator legally obligated to fulfill the promises of their project?

Yes. Kickstarter's Terms of Use require creators to fulfill all rewards of their project or refund any backer whose reward they do not or cannot fulfill. (This is what creators see before they launch.) We crafted these terms to create a legal requirement for creators to follow through on their projects, and to give backers a recourse if they don't. We hope that backers will consider using this provision only in cases where they feel that a creator has not made a good faith effort to complete the project and fulfill."

As i thought, so how are they able to get away with a 'sorry and a refund'? Sure that makes it simple and painless for both parties..

But... whats stopping people from starting a project, with the intent of spending the money on hookers and blow, then coming back with an 'sorry and refund' and thats it.
