The Great Silencing: Part 3, The Election

Postby Claeyt » Sun Jan 31, 2016 5:55 am

RECOUNT

Edit: Clearly I am not the establishment candidate and maybe I'm too controversial for this election. I'm not afraid of a little competition. I've added some other names of people who I think would also make great mods because we need more than one mod for the good of the game.

Please Post in this thread if you want your name to be added to the poll. Final names have to be in by THIS Friday night. Final results will be counted and locked at the moment of release of the next patch whenever that is.

_____________________________________________________________________________________________

Here's your chance to get rid of the Claegue FOREVER.

Recently the value of Top Hat's plummeted on Providence so I'm changing my terms of 'The Silencing' of my forum activity.

Disclaimer: I'm trying (real hard) not to say anything bad about or criticizing any mod or dev or admin with this thread.

Disclaimer: None of the dev's, admin's or mods have agreed to anything. I'm personally just curious what you guys think about this.

Awhile ago I was denied a position on the Mason's forum for reason's too dark to discuss... Anywhichway I've told Tmeow a couple of times that I thought that I would make a pretty good mod as I think mods SHOULD change their behavior once they get the green and become more just and less of a presence within the drama of the game. This has been an ongoing discussion between us for a couple of months with her always saying that I would make a horrible mod and that I lacked thick skin to deal with the trolls and me saying that I could absolutely change how I post on the forum if I was to go green and that I would become just and nice if I became a mod with MagicMann as my example of niceness and justice and I think I could be as thick skinned as anyone with the trolls.

Anyways the terms of 'The Silencing' IF I was to become a Mod:

1. I would never post in HoB, CoaH or anywhere else except for Trades, Threads that promote the game such as my Streaming thread, Planter's and Pilgrims but only to recruit or Help. I would only post if I had to mod and then it wold involve the use of green mod text. I wouldn't even post if the politics of the thread dealt specifically with me or my towns. I would never comment on a political thread ever again (Feel the Bern!!!). Just think Darwoth, Claegue free forums during a presidential election year.

2. That's never as in 'never ever' as long as I was a mod for the rest of time.

3. If I fail these terms I would accept a month long ban and PM a different picture of flowers to Tmeow every day for that month.

This is my first poll, ever. Of course none of this is binding and none of the dev's or mod's have agreed to anything but I'm curious what the player base actually thinks and I think Tmeow is wrong about my ability to be a mod. I've worked for years to help the game grow and I want to know what you guys think.

Go Vote.

Your poll is in the nature of a Loaded Question. You forgot to include the Betty White option.

You are a detrament to this game. You constantly break forums rules. A vast majority of this year we didn't hear from you because you were banned. This thread is the definition of speaking about moderation. You are openly criticizing how I moderate. Your retarded disclaimers worked last time but you were told explicitly not to do it again. I'm going to speak to meow about this and see how she wants to move forward

I don't see your name or actions anywhere in this thread. Why do you think this entire forum is about you? I have talked to Tmeow about becoming a mod before and it was more about my faults than yours.

I wasn't told not to DO it again. I was told not to make it tiny again.

Feel free to vote against me Dallane. It's just a poll. :D

No, I'm going to allow this thread for now. Though I don't understand why every time we have a PM conversation it must turn into a ridiculous thread on the forums. Nor do I understand why you think that I would want a moderator that doesn't post.

I'd really rather not talk about this here, just like I didn't want to talk about why you didn't qualify for the L&L Professional poisition: because it's not nice to list someones shortcomings in public. Most people would be embarrassed, and that is why this thread and the other one you recently made baffle me entirely and I'm leaving them unlocked due mostly to a sort of morbid fascination to see what happens.

Thank You.

I'm curious how it'll end up as well.

Claeyt.. your never going to get mod because your a ***** and an annoying ****, forums that are under your gaze would wither and die.

Mainly, because your already the whipping boy, and if someone hands you the power to smite your abusers you would use it as a tool of revenge.

Those who ask for power rarely use it for good, this is an absolutely retarded notion, and to think you are stupid enough to make a public thread about it, you consistently amaze me.

I choose option 3: Shut the ***** up Claeyt.
