seriously... at least the last 500 changes are by those bots

the easiest way to go about cleaning is searching for mandeville and removing all the pages with that in it.
Darn, restricting wiki access seems a good way to go now ...

+1, a slight barrier to entry (ie, requesting access in a PM) on editing the wiki doesn't seem like it would negatively affect progress much... Seems like only a handful of people do it and I'd personally feel more comfortable doing so if I was explicitly given permission anyways.

There are now nearly 2000 bot created users, does anyone have admin rights to start removing them, and maybe lock sign up at least for a little while until this stops?

It seems the bots are only making new pages, not editing existing ones (I read up on it a bit, and if they would edit a single page 12 times, the old edits are lost forever without database backups).

I'm currently scraping the mediawiki, to at least have a reference point. I assume that I'll be able to sort out bot pages from other ones relatively easy, locally.

However, I think we'll need sabinati to perform a purge on the mediawiki itself.

I have deleted all entries of them today and Sabinati has temporary disabled Wiki-Registration at the moment.

I will tell you if it's changed again.

My version for the Skill Trees is almost done. The layout is finally complete and now I just need to add the information for each of the skills along with skill icons. Should be finished by tomorrow night if I'm not super busy.

What ever happened to this?
