Me again! Can't chop wood during tutorial!

Okay, so if you saw my previous thread I couldn't even choose my gender on my stupid MacBook Air. Now I'm using another laptop, and am nearly done the tutorial to find I cannot chop any wood to put on the sacred fire. The game tells me I need to have an axe to chop wood, when I do have a flint axe already! And the worst thing about this is that I cannot save and quit during the tutorial!

Key word there was equipped. Try equipping those axes.
CNTRL->E brings up character pane.

Sorry for your frustrations. We should definitely look into making the equipment panel more of a thing, however, we do feel that in todays gaming day and age it is at least a bit reasonable on our part to assume people have an idea about 'equipment' in an MMO.

My friend got tripped up on this too but her gaming experience doesn't go far beyond cooking themed flash games so...

+1 though for adjusting the wording ever so slightly since it seems like low hanging fruit.

There should be an option in the tutorial "just take me to the kitchen"

+1, cooking themed flash casual gamers are an untapped market by hardcore indie permadeath mmo producers

My friend recently asked me the same thing recently. Possibly rewording that text with some more information or just simple tutorial window about the equipment panel. Explaining that things have to be equipped from clothing to tools. Or just put the tool tip on the flint ax. So the first tool anyone gets has that explanation.
