I felt bad for calling in sick and thinking I was missing the important meeting. Worse now I feel like a dope for working on the project for 3 hours yesterday... Just thought I would share the story overall since I thought it was funny that a room with no light other than computer screens and a couple naps can throw the perspective of 5 AM to thinking it was 5 PM. Seeing football scores on Saturday was probably didn't help either. How about them chiefs....

I do shift work and get totally lost on time and dates when on midnights

I lost a couple hours while out looking for my dog in the swamp at night. Still don't know what the hell I was doing for that time, but when I emerged back onto the dirt road adjacent to the swamp I can only say that I was baffled and a bit shaken from the lack of memory. Gat dam swamp.

Either way, NyQuil and hard work will mess you up man, it's no surprise you lost a day.

I had a great dream where I was a handsome skeleton in a tower.

Now, for the record, although I havent done it in years, I'm amazing in a kitchen, and in no time I had the kitchen in there under my method of doing things. One day, just because I knew they would never fire me, I called in "too high to come in". And I was too, totally baked out of my mind. took a 30 minute nap, and went in, never heard one complaint about it. Of course, doing that in any real restaurant would probably be a less good idea, but it was McDonalds, they really couldn't do any better.

I think about this priceless story several times a day, I've even begun asking people if they saw it yet.
Unfortunately I'll never come up with a reply that appreciates the story enough, so I'll leave this here as an eternal placeholder. I can't stop wanting to hear Louis CK reading this story aloud on stage or somewhere. Thank you for sharing this.
