the dev did explain no one was to delve any info about witches to none witches not even the locations of the path or anything i seriously doubt anyone will tell you because that would mean losing out on the little knowledge anyone has about it

People do know these things and they do give the information out freely... As Dallane just stated.... And I have been guilty of giving that information out as well...

As it has been explained to me there is a fine line on what information is considered taboo to give out and it seems to be based on who as well. From my understanding a witch asking another person who is a witch questions about continuing down the path of witchcraft is not taboo. A non-witch asking random questions about witchcraft is taboo. So sharing the information about becoming a witch to someone who already knows witchcraft is not taboo. Sharing information with a person who has never had a witch or is not even near the path of becoming one is taboo.

Exactly, aparently Dallane knew with whom he was dealing with prior to exchanging information. We are familair with higher end witchcraft and several cake-members do have a higher tier witch on Providence.
