Oh, one wishposh give even 7(or 8) lards, beaver 1-4.
If i have lake, and one round gives hmmmm ex. 30 beavers and 3 wishposh its gives min 40, max~130 lards, in 15 min ¦]
But, i will not selling lards ¦] Lards buisness have rather smaller guys :D

/ Lards are required for Blistered Coffin - x2 mortal = x2 lard, so x4 lard for 8 steel (yes? )

1,5 lard per wall segment, yes. But your lard math is a bit wrong. Minimum with lard is always 0. 30 beavers and 3 wishpooshes in one lake is a huge luck too, minimum here would be 0 again, average would be probably ~10 beavers + 1 wishpoosh.
But. But. If you seriously claim you can get up to 250 pieces of lard per hour, you would be a fool wasting your time making steel, while selling lard could get you up to 15 bars of steel per hour bought from other players, meaning you could get a nice 400 tiles wall running for a price of 100-150 hours of beaver hunting, instead of waiting same amount of time for one batch of steel.

I want to specifically point out that I am not offering to simply increase rates of lard drop, but simply to offer an alternative of making sure you would get atleast 1 lard per 1 killed beaver for a significant investment in your character to make it less luck based and more plannable.

With me I have paddled shores of Providence and doing about 15 mins forth and 5 mins back and ended up having around 16-20 lards in my backpack during cold snap with viscera skill. I usually run it 3 or 4 times a day so beavers respawn so that makes about 48 - 60 "per hour". I just relocated to deep darkness and am later willing to experiment some with Wishpooshes although I'm wondering whether cold snap affect lard drops at all regarding Wishpooshes?

You are taking complaints about lard being not readily available seriously? ...seriously?

On another note, note one has told me yet, why we actually need lard to make steel, I'd really love to understand this piece of the alchemy...

The link to Blistersteel has already been given. You seal the coffin shut with mortar, which uses lard as a binding agent.

Ahh, yes. You are correct. I forgot about that. If you are going to complain about needing 4 lard to fill one cementation furnace every 7 days to produce 8 steel and not mention 30 granite or 16 leather or 16 bones then I can only assume this problem has to do with how you choose to play the game or where you choose to live and not how scarce lard is in the world.
