Can I please create 3 1250 phlegm characters and trade them for a wall around my base? :twisted:


On a serious note the one problem with this wall I have is that steel takes lard. Lard is both chance and season based, which makes it a little bit too much to have 2 types of walls depending on it. I agree that a wall should be significantly harder to build than making a character capable of breaking it is, but steel is already tough enough to mass produce without taking lard into account, so can we please have something that would allow us to increase a chance of getting lard? Another expensive skill after viscera or H&H increasing a chance of getting a beaver tail with, let's say, a 90% chance at 1000?

Lards are hard to get ? Man... if you are in darkness near lake in 1 hour you can get easy 100-200 lards ;P
Or just buy from other people ;P

I am no expert on real life steel making, but I wonder what lard has to do with it...

On another note, lard is not a problem by any means, it was not for making brick walls, and it is readily available in large quantities.


My 2 concerns here still are:

1.) The costs for walls are not in line, anything below plank is dirt cheap, plank is actually more expensive than brick, and iron wall is roughly 10x or more expensive than brick.

2.) From what I was told how you obtain amethysts (other than buying them), I doubt that this is the right way, I agree there should be a rare ingredient like the sodom bricks in brick walls, but the way this amethyst is obtained is just wrong. Sodom bricks are not really rare as you will get enough of them if you make any serious number of bricks anyways, and the cornerstone bricks are too abundant, but that's a whole different story.

Lard is not hard to get. Lard is frustratingly annoying and boring to get in mass quantities if you don't live in the right biome. No one is selling lard, and when people do it is gone pretty fast. 100-200/hour considering being chance based and time to respawn sounds like inappropriate exaggeration, I used to live in a place with water and marshland all around (not darkness though), an hour of hunting with viscera skill would get me 15-25 pieces of lard, considering spawn rates, hunting wishpooshes can not get you 100-200, if that was the case, market price for lard would be around 5 silver, not 30.

Heading out from Providence on a canoe curing Cold Snap, you can reliably get 40-60 lards in an hour if you have over 100 biles and Viscera and bits. Hell, sail north or south for 30 minutes, killing every beaver in your path, then log out on land for a little while, then come back later and sail back toward Providence. You could then port back to your base.

I have insane pictures of farming beavers south of providence, most of which was gained in a 1h trip, with hundreds of lard and other items.

Oh, one wishposh give even 7(or 8) lards, beaver 1-4.
If i have lake, and one round gives hmmmm ex. 30 beavers and 3 wishposh its gives min 40, max~130 lards, in 15 min ¦]
But, i will not selling lards ¦] Lards buisness have rather smaller guys :D


/ Lards are required for Blistered Coffin - x2 mortal = x2 lard, so x4 lard for 8 steel (yes? )
