Yeah, it's like Project Zomboid....there are 3D models on a 2D world....however games like that are simply called Top down or isometric games, no matter on 2D or 3D stuff...It's simply an Isometric game, and the great advantage is you can build easy an huge world than on a 3D ones. The world of Salem is awesome indeed! As far as H&H.

P.S. For the guy above, in Xsyon there is pvp, for sure....there actually are 2 servers, pvp and only pve....there's not permadeath from what i understand....but you lose stuff and skills and you are teleported to your claim....like KO on Salem.

Neither Xsyon, nor Salem, are isometric (unless you use the awful default camera). You should check the meaning of that word.

I'm not speaking about Xsyon...but Salem or H&H are top down or isometric games....even if with 3d models, it's always an isometric game...and btw the default camera is the best one.

They're isometric only with default camera. Barely anyone is playing with it, most people play with normal 3d camera. In fact, isometric camera was added to Salem in one of the patches, it wasn't there in the beginning

I tried this game years ago before trying Salem. One of my first attempts into sandbox crafting games. Unfortunately, I don't think I quite understood the genre enough and I do recall there being a distinct lack of player vs. player interaction (could have changed by now). Either way, I do wonder how I would look on such games now that I have a more diverse pallet for gaming. The ambitions for the title were great.
